Walmart's Indian web-based business unit Flipkart said on Monday it would re-apply for a food retail permit in India after reports said its prior proposition was dismissed by the administration a week ago. Division for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) a week ago dismissed the E-retailers proposition to sell food items through on the web and versatile stages, the Times of India paper wrote about Monday.

"We are assessing the office's reaction and expect to re-apply as we hope to keep having a critical effect on private companies and networks in India," the organization said in an announcement.
