A day after the Center restricted 59 portable applications with China joins, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said that any applications discharged in the nation must hold fast to India's information respectability, security, sway, and straightforwardness and focused on that the nation needs to remain "information sovereign."

"All Apps discharged in India must stick to India's information uprightness, security, power, and straightforwardness. They should be straightforward in starting point and last goal of information. India must be an information sovereign nation. This is basic. Applications against whom activity taken are way of life applications," Kant said in a tweet.

In the midst of the continuous outskirt strains with China in Eastern Ladakh, the Center had on Monday prohibited 59 portable applications including TikTok, UC Browser, and other Chinese applications "biased to power and uprightness and barrier" of the nation.

A senior authority at the IT Ministry said the prime motivation to obstruct the applications under segment 69 An of the Information Technology Act is to stop the infringement and danger to the security of the state and open request and to plug the information spills.
