#BoycottNetflix:
Twitter Trends Because Of The Telugu Film Krishna And His Leela
People
posting against the film said their characters named Krishna and Radha offended
them.
#BoycottNetflix is slanting on Twitter in India today as a few clients are not content with a Telugu film Krishna and His Leela that dropped on Netflix a week ago. While most of the tweets that are a piece of #BoycottNetflix hashtag are images ridiculing the hashtag itself, a few clients said they were outraged by the film and its characters who are named Krishna and Radha.
References
to any divine beings, gods, or religion have consistently been precarious
subjects for movies, books, and other media in India, and different nations
also. Such debates are not restricted to simply divine beings and religions,
even authentic figures can be a purpose behind blacklists and fights. Padmaavat
is one such model. The film got disputable during its creation as a few Rajput
associations, including Karni Sena, guaranteed that it depicted Padmavati in
terrible light.
The
film was discharged on Netflix on June 25 absent a lot of flourishes and is a
lighthearted comedy. It stars Sidhu Jonnalagadda (Kalki) as Krishna, Shraddha
Srinath (U-Turn) as Sathya, Seerat Kapoor (Okka Kshanam) as Ruksaar, and
Shalini Vadnikatti (Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan) as Radha. It was
coordinated by Ravikanth Perepu who is likewise acknowledged as an author for
Sidhu Jonnalagadda. The film got blended audits.
