Oneplus Concept One Smartphone - Black Colour Showcased: All Details
Instead of black orange the first OnePlus
Concept One smartphone had.
OnePlus has just been released in 2020 but
started the year with its Las Vegas CES concept launch. It is still a few
months from now. On the show the OnePlus Concept One smartphone came with a
unique design that could hide the rear cameras if necessary. The version shown
in the original McLaren-inspired hue was an orange leather cover, but new
versions show a prototype with a black leather panel on its backs.
Kevin Tao from the industrial design team
at OnePlus shared concept photos in an interview published on the OnePlus forum
during the early stages of product creation. The prototype has an upper black
leather panel that suits the upper black window. The McLaren logo is visible at
the top but not just under the camera module is a OnePlus logo. The rest of the
architecture resembles the CES 2020 model smartphone.
The OnePlus Concept One is the first phone
with an electrochrome glass panel that can reveal or hide the rear cameras
transparently or opacally. OnePlus says the transition from solid black to
absolutely transparent takes only 0.7 seconds, which is faster than the camera
itself does.
Inspired by the McLaren 720S Spider sports
car, which has the same form of electrochrome coating that can be flipped
between tinted and translucent states and features retracted Hard-Top. Because
a phone is a prototype product, it is unlikely to launch itself; rather, it can
take the technology on the smartphone to potential OnePlus devices like the
OnePlus 8 series.
