TikTok As General Counsel Hires Erisch Andersen: More
Popular mobile video app TikTok told President Alex Zhu that on Friday he has hired Microsoft lawyer Erich Andersen to act as the global general consultant.

Andersen was the chief intellectual property lawyer for Microsoft most recently, adding experience in TikTok's area of major concern as he extends its musical range.

He declared his takeoff in a LinkedIn post final month after over 20 a long time at a innovation mammoth.

TikTok, which is the property of Chinese tech company ByteDance, allows users to create and upload short videos which can be customized for music library snippets.

After the growing growth of users last year, the firm is advocating for US marketers to test a production platform that matches brands and influencers and to pilot their in-app buying apps.

Yet social marketing firms last month told Reuters that some advertisers are still concerned with possible copyright issues arising from the use of the app's music services.

On Thursday, TikTok said it had inked a deal to extend its Music Library with the UK digital rights group Merlin, which negotiates licenses on behalf of over 20,000 unabhängig record labels and distributors.

According to research firm Sensor Tower, it accommodates over 1.5 billion downloads, including 680 million downloads in 2019.
